The Club Nautico Ibiza, founded in 1925, is the second oldest of the Balearic Islands after Ciutadella, since then the club has earned its place in Ibiza. Its facilities are a landmark in the city and a meeting place for both residents and visitors to the island throughout the year.
The Club Nautico Ibiza boom occurred in the seventies with the arrival of the boat Optimist type. Born then Sailing School, a fact that has been fundamental to the sporting and social development of boating activity.
These light boats in summer have led to all children who want to, have boat or not, take the opportunity to make introductory and advanced courses in Municipal Sailing School which manages the Club. Through this initiative, Ibiza can boast a large medal of national and international titles. As a result, the Club Nautico Ibiza is today a benchmark in the world of sailing.
As one would expect, the Club organizes several regattas a year for children and adults. The next activity will be the XXVIII Jornadas Pitiusas Náuticas Gran Prix Banco Sabadell-Cup Ranz Baleares Area to be held on 22 and 25 September.
In addition, one of the most rewarding activities provides the Club, is the program ‘A sea of possibilities’ aimed at people with special needs and that this initiative can enjoy some sports, therapeutic and leisure activities.
The Club also has three hundred moorings, a slipway where they maintain and repair boats and passers partners and open to the public restaurant.
